CiMSO Asia Celebrates Hiroshi Tai on Historic NCAA Championship Win

CARLSBAD, California: Hiroshi Tai, the 22-year-old Singaporean sensation, has etched his name in the annals of collegiate golf history by clinching the coveted National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division 1 Men’s Individual Championship. This remarkable triumph not only secures Tai’s place in the upcoming U.S. Open but also grants him an invitation to the prestigious 2025 Masters Tournament, making him the first Singaporean to compete in these two prestigious men’s Major championships.

“It was pretty nerve-wracking, but winning the individual championship means a lot to me,” said Tai, who began the week ranked 70th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. “All the guys on the team have really helped me a lot in my past 2½ years here. That includes not just the six guys here but all the guys back home as well. They are the best friends in my life, and I am really grateful for the relationships.”
