Enhancing Golf Accessibility: Singapore Associations’ Second MOU
Singapore Golf Association (SGA), Singapore Professional Golfers’ Association (SPGA), and NTUC Club have signed a second tri-partite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Orchid Country Club to make golf even more inclusive and increase golf accessibility for all Singaporeans.
Under the First MOU
In 2021, the first MOU was signed to popularize the sport, leading to the establishment of My Golf Kaki (MGK) Academy. This academy provides golfing programs and facilitates learning experiences for Singaporeans. My Golf Kaki is a community for golfers passionate about golf accessibility and creating an inclusive golf environment.
The Latest Agreement – Golf Accessibility
The new agreement, signed at the Orchid Country Club, will see continued efforts by the NTUC Club to leverage SGA’s ‘Get Golfing!’ and SPGA’s community program to promote community outreach initiatives further. MGK Academy, run by NTUC Club, will introduce various introductory golf programs with SGA assisting in program curation. SPGA professionals will act as golf ambassadors to engage participants. The Academy will also serve as one of the training centres for school programs, with proficiency certificates recognized by SGA.
